Trippin’ Blues takes a village…

We feel so honoured to be able to offer you a weekend full of connection, good music, inspiring lessons and lots of community, and we would never be able to do it alone.

Has the thought of the festival already got your feet tapping away in excitement? Then why not chip in by signing up as a volunteer? There’s something for everyone; whether you want to help with a door shift or two, handing out wristbands or being part of our care team, feel free to reach out and we can work together to see if it’s something for you. No pressure to do any more than you want to: mountains are moved one pebble at a time!

We’re super grateful for all help. Fill in the form below and Emma will reach out to you about the volunteering schedule.

Festivals like ours run on the care and effort of volunteers. Whether it’s taking a shift at the door, helping with the registration wrist bands, or running the merch stand for an hour, every little helps. We can’t emphasise enough how much it means to us that so many take a little bit of time out of their festival experience to make everything possible!

Another thing that makes festivals like this possible is safety. At the Blues Joint, one of the ways that we keep the festival safe and fun for everyone involved is through a care team. The care team is there to give all our dancers an accessible person to approach when something feels uncomfortable or just not quite right. Our care team will work with you to figure out what you need and which steps you’d like to take in your specific situation. It’s important to remember that the care team is there for everyone, whether it involves another dancer or not — even if you are simply feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to!

We are also looking for people to join our care team for the festival. Participating in the care team or volunteering in any other way isn’t a full-weekend responsibility. We work in short shifts (usually an hour, but we can work around your schedule) and always make sure you’re not alone on the floor. If you’re interested in volunteering or joining the care team, you can register your interest through this form or contact our volunteer coordinator Emma directly through thebluesjoint@gmail.com.
