This edition of Trippin’ Blues we have 6 nights of dancing to live music! Because we just can’t get enough of dancing. You can get a party pass to go to all parties or get your tickets at the door.

Join us for the first party of the festival at our festival hub for the weekend, the Kompaszaal! With live music of the Bluesshack with their soulful, modern take on Blues that still feels like you’ve stepped straight into an old-school club.
They know exactly how to tease a dance floor: lifting you with juicy uptempo shuffles, then dropping you into slow, jazzy-soul tunes that make you close your eyes and stretch that connection just a little longer.
If you want that first big festival night to already feel legendary, this is where you start.
The party is from 20:00 – 2:00 at KZ – Kompaszaal with live music from BluesShack.

Free workshop: 21:00h by Carsten & Lisa (The Groovin’ Blues, Germany). In this creative blues session, you’ll dive into playful movements and surprising tricks and dips – perfect for anyone who wants to experience blues in a lively way (all levels). Lisa and Carsten from „The Groovin’ Blues” will get you into the groove right before the party.

Saturday June 20

We dance the night away to the bluesy tunes of Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues band. The floor is slidey, the band will be playing their best Blues repertoire, in short, we can’t wait to see you at the dancefloor. Saturday is the big one: packed floor, live band, and best themed outfits. Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band is a powerhouse piano-led band that leans hard into soulful Blues, early rhythm ’n blues and groove-heavy roots music.
With Martijn Schok on piano and Greta Holtrop on vocals, plus a killer rhythm and horn section, they bring that greasy, rolling sound that slides under your skin and straight into your feet.

Dress code: Nautical – Whether you get dressed as a pirate, its parrot, a captain, or a compass; we’d love to see your nautical outfit.

Free workshop: 20:00h by Richard & Paul about twelve-bar Blues unrevealed
This little workshop is an antertaining look at the famous, 12 bar Blues, accompanied by a live musician. Get more familiar with this most-used structure in Blues music. This will make your dancing more dynamic and increase your musicality skills. Open-level.

Sunday June 21

For Sunday we have a band that we love dancing to; Gumbo Night Blues Band. For the third night in a row we dance at KZ – Kompaszaal.
Sunday is the grand finale energy: three nights of dancing in your legs, but still one more big party in your heart. Gumbo Night Blues Band bring the steamiest slice of New Orleans to Amsterdam – brass, blues, R&B and funk all stirred into one big pot of groove.
Expect horns, call-and-response moments and that swampy, rolling rhythm that makes every walk to the bar turn into a strut. If you like your last night loud, joyful and just a tiny bit unhinged. We’re looking forward to close the festival weekend in style with you.
